Park

The park of Villa Rosau was created in the middle of the 19th century on a promontory outside the city walls. The constant pressure of industrialization made the original idyllic location of the villa on the lake, as you know it from our beautiful engraving at the reception, disappear and incorporated it into a new, urban environment. The park is thus a historically important contemporary witness of Zurich’s urban expansion.
The newly created park surrounds the Villa Rosau as well as the new building made of architectural bronze. In the park garden we have created the new pergola in the eastern part, also called “Unter den Linden Zürich”, where the restaurant is open during the summer months.
From the terrace you can enjoy the breathtaking infinity view over the hill to the glittering lake and the mountains. Scattered throughout the garden you will find seating that invites you to linger. And last but not least, take a walk through the garden and let your gaze wander over the garden fence, which has been restored by means of elaborate craftsmanship.
