Membership

Membership in the Club Baur au Lac is open to women and men who have reached the age of 25 and have been recognized as members by the committee.

Applicants for membership must prove the support of two Club members (sponsorships), whose personal and good acquaintance with the candidate is assumed, whose own membership has existed for at least two years and who do not belong to the same company or the same family as the applicant.

Each of the two sponsors is asked to write a letter of recommendation (reference), which is to be sent to the committee of the Club Baur au Lac. The candidate, for his part, is requested to submit his application for admission as well as a curriculum vitae with photo and subsequently to ask the Club Secretariat whether his dossier is complete.

After receipt of all documents, these are presented to the committee at the committee meeting held twice a year. The committee decides unanimously on the application for membership at its own discretion and without giving reasons.
