Membership

Membership in the Club Baur au Lac is open to women and men who have reached the age of 25 and have been recognized as members by the committee.

Applicants for membership must prove the support of two Club members (sponsorships), whose personal and good acquaintance with the candidate is assumed, whose own membership has existed for at least two years and who do not belong to the same company or the same family as the applicant.

Each of the two sponsors is requested to write a detailed and informative letter of recommendation (reference), which should be sent by e-mail or letter to the Club Baur au Lac committee.
For his part, the candidate is asked to submit his application for admission together with a reasoned letter of motivation and a CV with photo and then to ask the Club secretariat whether his dossier is complete. If the candidat is aquainted with one of the committee members it is advidable to inform him in advance about his application.

After receipt of all documents, these are presented to the committee at the committee meeting held twice a year. The committee decides unanimously on the application for membership at its own discretion and without giving reasons.
